Youth With A Mission has published the latest edition of its monthly news programme, a round-up of work from across the mission's international network. Hosted by Bill Hutchison and Lidia Hugentobler, the episode draws together stories from the Pacific, Africa, the Caribbean, the United States and Europe. Among them are the delivery of clean water to a school and its surrounding neighbourhood in Vanuatu, prison outreach in Samoa, and a preschool opening at the mission's centre in Mutambu, Burundi.
Several of the items concern people on the margins. In Zomba, Malawi, the ministry Beauty Ashes is described as guiding women out of prostitution. In Madang Province of Papua New Guinea the mission is providing support for people living with diabetes. In Haiti, Liberty Academy offers professional trade training, and in Barbados an arts and worship centre is profiled. The episode also features the cardboard-collector ministry of YWAM Hong Kong and a food-truck evangelism initiative in Asheville in the United States.
Other segments range further in time and subject. They include an account of Bible smuggling into Romania during the Cold War, a documentary film school testimony, a seminar on engaging with Islam run by YWAM Boston, a "Simply the Story" workshop and material on dealing with anxiety. The mission's large gatherings The Send, held in Australia and in the Baltics, are also covered, along with stories about housing and dormitory life within the mission. The full episode is available as a podcast and on video, with links to the individual stories, and the mission presents it as an invitation to follow the work and take part in it.
