Around 200 people from FeG congregations across Germany, representing many cultural backgrounds, gathered on 5 September 2026 for the Konferenz der Kulturen (Conference of Cultures) at the Kronberg Forum in Ewersbach. The event was organised jointly by the Bund Freier evangelischer Gemeinden (FeG Deutschland) and Allianz-Mission, the denomination's mission agency. It ran under the motto “Wake up! Rediscover missionary power!”

The FeG is one of Germany's historic free evangelical denominations, and in recent years its congregations have been increasingly shaped by migration. The conference aimed to help participants discover a Kingdom-of-God perspective and become newly awake to mission. Andreas Scholz, the denomination's officer for international congregational work, summed up the gathering: “When I look along the rows here, I see the Kingdom of God!”

The day was led by Rio Mangunwijaya, pastor and church planter of FeG Kairos Hannover, together with Andreas Scholz, with worship led by a music team around Samuel Castro and young people from an African FeG congregation in Leverkusen. In one practical exercise, participants gave a chocolate bar to a person they did not know and spoke a blessing in that person's heart language. FeG President Henrik Otto welcomed participants, describing migrant believers as “our brothers and sisters in the mission of our country” and saying the church can learn much from them.
