The Association of Evangelicals in Africa (AEA) will launch its Health Commission on 23 September 2026 at its headquarters in Nairobi, positioning the African Church as a strategic partner in shaping the continent's health future. Anchored in AEA's "Vision 2066" aspiration, the Commission will provide strategic leadership in health policy, advocacy, research and crisis response, and will work to strengthen church-based health networks and support national evangelical alliances across Africa.
The Commission aims to promote African ownership of the continent's health future by strengthening indigenous leadership and local institutional capacity, and by facilitating sustainable funding mechanisms. Its work will be guided by the conviction that health is inseparable from human dignity, and that lasting transformation occurs when faith, science, leadership and community action work together.
