The International Federation of Free Evangelical Churches (IFFEC) will hold its 2026 Worldwide gathering on the African continent for the first time in the organisation's history. The assembly will take place at Brackenhurst Conference and Retreat Centre, approximately 20 kilometres north-west of Nairobi, Kenya, from 28 September to 3 October 2026.
The theme is Follow Jesus — described by the organisers as "a lifelong journey" lived individually and communally across cultures. The gathering will bring together leaders from IFFEC's 31 member federations, which collectively span Europe, the Americas, and Asia.
The choice of Kenya carries significance beyond logistics. IFFEC's current membership map has long been weighted toward Europe and North America, yet many of its member federations have planted or partnered with churches across Africa over the past century. Holding the assembly in Nairobi is a signal that the organisation intends to take African representation seriously, not merely as mission field but as fellowship.
