The Evangelical Free Church of Canada (EFCC) held its 2026 national conference at Winnipeg EFC in Manitoba, 18–20 June, gathering church leaders from across the country for what organisers framed as a moment of renewal, deepening relationships, and a reminder of the denomination's identity.
The conference included the 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM), which addressed the 2027 budget and the 2025 financial statements. Both in-person and online attendance options were available. The denomination noted the gathering as an opportunity to ask: who are we and what does it mean to be the EFCC in this moment?
The EFCC, founded in 1917 and currently spanning more than 160 congregations, is a member of IFFEC and maintains close partnership with the Evangelical Free Church of America (EFCA). In recent years it has celebrated significant milestones including the completion of the Fosmark building campaign, a capital project that expands its capacity for ministry and leadership development.
The denomination also recently welcomed Tyler Harper as Associate Leadership Catalyst and continues to invest in equipping the next generation of church planters and pastoral leaders across Canada.
