Czech music teacher and choir director Hanka Fišerová has moved into long-term missionary service in a rural community in western Kenya, where poverty leaves children little access to creative or extracurricular activities. From that need she launched ArtCamp Kenya, a project offering multi-genre art camps — visual art workshops, music, guitar, ukulele and violin lessons, drama and sport — that give children space to discover their talents and build confidence.
The camps, run with both international and local Kenyan instructors, double as a platform for sharing the Christian message of God's love, and are backed by the mission organisation NF Nehemia together with Prague's Network congregation and the Effatha choir.
