The Finnish Free Church Cooperation (Frikyrklig Samverkan, FS) has chosen evangelism among Arabic-speaking people in Finland as the destination of its 2026 mission collection. The decision puts the collection behind Joy Sadak, a work that reaches Arabic speakers who have settled across Finland with the Christian message.

The announcement followed a camp at Humle over the autumn half-term weekend that drew around 75 Arabic-speaking participants, roughly 35 of them Muslims. They came from different parts of Finland and had backgrounds including Sudan, Syria, Iraq and Egypt. According to the mission report, the weekend combined worship, teaching and unhurried conversation about Islam and Jesus — and many of the conversations continued long after the official programme had ended.

Frikyrklig Samverkan is the joint body of Finland's Swedish-speaking free churches, and Missionskyrkan Finland is among its members. The collection was previously known as Ansvarsveckan, but delegates at the FS annual meeting in May decided to rename it to avoid confusion with the ecumenical campaign of the same name run by the Finnish Ecumenical Council. The funds raised are passed on to the Swedish Baptist Union of Finland and to Joy Sadak's work.

Organisers describe the effort as mission at close range: people who have moved to Finland from other parts of the world now live in the same cities and towns as the congregations, and the collection is intended to open doors, start conversations and let friendships grow.
