The Association of Evangelicals in Africa (AEA) will host the Africa Digital Technology & Faith Forum 2026 in Nairobi on 21–22 September. The continental gathering will bring together around 60 select delegates, including business leaders, technology innovators, artificial intelligence practitioners, academics, faith leaders and emerging young leaders. Participants will explore how technology and faith can together shape Africa’s future.
The forum is convened under the theme “Leveraging Digital Technology and Artificial Intelligence for Africa’s Future – Innovation, Leadership and Faith,” and is hosted in partnership with Dr. Goodwill Shana, the immediate former AEA president. It reflects the AEA’s broader vision for societal transformation across the continent and its growing engagement with the ethical questions raised by rapid digital change.
AEA Secretary General Dr. Master O. Matlhaope said Africa “stands at a critical moment,” blessed with the world’s youngest and fastest-growing population even as artificial intelligence and digital innovation reshape economies, societies and institutions. “African leaders have a unique opportunity not only to embrace technology for entrepreneurship and job creation, but also to ensure that innovation is guided by ethical principles that promote human flourishing and the common good,” he said. Through panel discussions, case studies and technology showcases, the forum aims to strengthen ethical leadership and build a lasting pan-African network committed to digital collaboration.
